Community Pathways: How they work & how to engage

🤔What are Community Pathways?

Community Pathways are themed engagement tracks, based on the topics that are most relevant to your passions, mission and studies. Our Pathways are;

Each pathway creates a more intimate mission-aligned peer environment within the broader ToU Community, helping you identify, connect and build global networks of peers.

🤔Why we introduced Community Pathways

Our Community is vibrant, active and full of opportunity. Over time, many learners told us:

• There is a lot happening
• It can be hard to prioritise
• You want deeper engagement aligned with your mission

Community Pathways were introduced to reduce cognitive overload and make engagement more intentional.

All events and spaces remain open to everyone. Pathways simply help you focus on what is most relevant to you. They provide a clearer anchor, not a limitation.

🌈 How Diversity, Equity & Inclusion shows up across Pathways

At Tomorrow University, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is not treated as a standalone programme or pathway. Instead, it is intentionally embedded across all Community Pathways and activities.

This means DEI is reflected in:

• Who is invited into conversations and leadership roles

• How Circles, Communities of Practice and events are facilitated

• Speaker line-ups, perspectives and lived experiences shared

• The design of Immersions, careers support and mentoring opportunities

In practice, this creates Community spaces where different identities, backgrounds and viewpoints are welcomed, and where learners can both contribute and belong.

🤔What’s included in each Pathway?

Each Community Pathway offers a layered way to connect and grow, without limiting access. You don't need to engage with everything, start where it feels most relevant

1️⃣ Dedicated on demand discussion & connection Slack space

A focused channel to:

• Connect with peers
• Share opportunities
• Ask questions
• Continue discussions from events

2️⃣ Monthly Circle or Community of Practice (Pathway dependent)

Learner-led, discussion-based spaces focused on shared learning and application.

These are:

• Participatory
• Reflective
• Peer-driven

3️⃣ Expert Led Virtual Events

Curated sessions with practitioners, founders, innovators and leaders relevant to that Pathway.

4️⃣ Immersion Takeover

Each pathway has a dedicated Immersion, three weeks where we will explore and celebrate the topic as a global Community virtually and in person

5️⃣ Mentoring & Career Support opportunities [Coming Soon!]

Each Community Pathway also connects you to mentors with relevant experience via the Mentoring Tomorrow Hub, helping align your learning, mission and professional growth.

🤔Do I have to choose just one Pathway?

No. All events, Immersions and initiatives remain open across pathways.

However, we strongly encourage choosing one primary pathway as your anchor. This helps:

• Reduce overwhelm
• Help you maximise your time
• Build stronger peer relationships
• Create professional alignment

You can also shift pathways as your mission evolves.

🤔How to make the most of your Pathway

1️⃣ Choose your primary pathway

Pick the theme that most closely aligns with your current focus.

2️⃣ Join the Slack space

Introduce yourself. Share what you’re working on.

3️⃣ Attend one monthly moment

Start with either:

• A Circle or Community of Practice
• An expert event

4️⃣ Move from participant to active contributor

Community thrives on participation. If you feel called to:

• Host a Circle or Community of Practice
• Suggest a speaker
• Create an event or initiative

Pathways are rolled out based on learner demand and leadership. If you see a pathway without an active Circle or Community of Practice and would like to shape it, let us know.

This structure only works when learners step into ownership.
