IMBA Program Pathways [from March 2026]

How to choose a program pathway in your Impact MBA degree

At Tomorrow University, we empower future leaders to drive sustainability through innovation and technology. During your Calibration Phase, you will tailor your MBA experience by selecting Impact Certificates (ICs) that align with your career goals.

These program pathways are valid for all Intakes of the Impact MBA degree from March 2026 onwards. If you are looking for the pathways for all Intakes until and including November 2025, please check this Handbook page.

Within your degree, the Impact MBA in Sustainability, Innovation & Leadership, you have two options when moving towards Calibration phase, where you can choose Impact Certificates (ICs) to design your own learning journey. You will choose your ICs at the end of Orientation phase – and no worries, you do not have to stick with your first choice! You can adjust your journey on the way by switching your IC choice up to one week before each IC starts!

Option 1️⃣  Customized Learning Journey

Pick and choose your Impact Certificates during Calibration freely, e.g. combining ICs from different areas like Sustainability and Technology. This has the following implications:

📜 Your official degree title on your diploma is “MBA in Sustainability, Innovation, and Leadership”.

📝 Your transcript of records will list your completed challenges and chosen Impact Certificates.

Orientation remains the same for everyone. In Calibration you choose your ICs from the accredited MBA ICs (the ones you can see in your App when navigating to Calibration → Choose Impact Certificate”):

  • IMBA 60 ECTS version: Choose one IC (15 ECTS)
  • IMBA 90 ECTS version: Choose three ICs (45 ECTS)
  • IMBA 120 ECTS version: Choose five ICs (75 ECTS)

In Elevation, you’re free to choose the Elevation Challenge that best fits your interest or mission (if you want to know more about Elevation phase, please read this article.), while in Activation you can freely choose your thesis topic (if you want to learn more about Activation, check out this page).

Option 2️⃣ Following a Program Pathway

You can also follow a pre-structured program pathway that is predesigned around a specific topic area. The pathways differ by the distinct Impact Certificates that you can choose from. If you follow a pre-structured program pathway, this has the following implications:

📜 Your official degree title on your diploma is "MBA in Sustainability, Innovation, and Leadership with specialization in [Name of Program Pathway]”.

📝 Your transcript of records will list your completed challenges and chosen Impact Certificates.

Orientation remains the same for everyone.

In Calibration you choose your ICs from the pre-selection within your pathway:

  • IMBA 60 ECTS version: Choose one IC (15 ECTS) from the pre-selection within your pathway
  • IMBA 90 ECTS version: Choose three ICs (45 ECTS) from the pre-selection within your pathway – you can also replace one of the pre-selected ones with another IC from the MBA catalogue
  • IMBA 120 ECTS version: Choose five ICs in total (75 ECTS) – at least three from the pre-selection within your pathway plus two ICs that you can choose freely from the MBA catalogue

In Elevation, you’re free to choose the Elevation Challenge that best fits your interest or mission. If you want to sharpen your profile even further, you can follow the recommendations indicated in the pathway overviews below (optional, not mandatory!). In Activation you can freely choose your thesis topic – you might want to write your thesis within your chosen topic area to deepen your expertise and work on your own project. If you want to learn more about Activation, check out this page.

💡 Example – you are enrolled in the 90 ECTS version of the program and want to follow the Conscious Leadership & Organizational Development pathway, so in Calibration you choose the following three ICs:

  • Leading the Change
  • Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Inclusive Leadership & Diversity Management

Independent of which Elevation Challenge you choose and what your Thesis title will be, the degree title that you will see on your diploma will then read "MBA in Sustainability, Innovation, and Leadership with specialization in Conscious Leadership & Organizational Development”.

  • Exploring Technology and Resource-based Market Opportunities for Sustainable Innovation
