Guides are a select group of highly engaged learners from the MSc SET, IMBA IMSc, BA RE, and BSc AIST programs. They are here to help new joiners navigate their learning journey, by being available to answer questions.
At Tomorrow University (ToU), we believe in fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment. One of the ways we achieve this is through our Program Guide initiative. Program Guides are a select group of 5-7 highly engaged learners from all Tomorrow University programs, supporting learners across programs. They are here to help new joiners navigate their academic journey and become integrated into the ToU community.
What Program Guides Do
Program Guides are students from older intakes who are available to assist new learners with any questions they may have about their programs or the ToU experience.
1. Within a week after a new learner joins the Tomorrow University Slack community, learners will be introduced to the current program guides on Slack, and learners can reach out to these program guides if they need support.
2. The Program Guides' role is to answer questions and provide insights about both the academic experience and life at ToU. Program Guides are expected to remain available on Slack at their own pace, offering help as questions arise. They can decide the best way for them to organise time with learners. This could be, for example, a weekly office hours slot, or setting up a Calendly link for new learners to book 1:1 slots.
3. The Program Guides initiative is program agnostic: Program Guides can help and interact with learners from different programs, not only the one(s) they are enrolled in.
4. Program Guides will also support in welcoming new learners via the #-01-introductions channel in the Community Slack.
Starting in March 2025, our initial Program Guides will engage with new learners for six months. This flexible setup allows Program Guides to balance their responsibilities with their own studies.
Why It Matters
Being a Program Guide supports new learners and also fosters a deeper connection with the ToU community. They are here to get new learners off to a successful start and are here to enhance communication, leadership, and mentoring skills while contributing to a positive, supportive environment for everyone at Tomorrow University.
Who Are The Program Guides And How Can I Connect?
We are excited to announce our Program Guides starting in March 2025. They are very talented individuals who are happy to support you in your learning. These Guides span across all programs to ensure that all learners get the support they need.
