The BSc in AI & Sustainable Technologies is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to leverage artificial intelligence for a sustainable future. The program is structured into four distinct phases: Orientation, Calibration, Elevation, and Activation. Each phase guides learners through different stages of their academic and professional journey, from foundational skills to real-world applications.


Phase 1: Orientation

Purpose: Establishing a strong foundation in AI, sustainability, and innovation

The Orientation Phase introduces learners to Tomorrow University’s learning model, essential academic skills, and the community of peers, faculty, and industry partners. This phase consists of seven challenges, each designed to prepare learners for the journey ahead.

Challenges:

  1. Mission Identification – Define your learning objectives and purpose.
  2. Build Your Dream Team – Develop collaboration and teamwork skills.
  3. Sustainability Foundations – Explore key concepts of sustainability.
  4. Intro to Innovation & Entrepreneurship – Understand how to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  5. Technology Foundations – Gain an overview of technological advancements.
  6. Intro to Coding for AI – Learn fundamental programming concepts for AI applications.
  7. Orientation Group Challenge – Apply acquired skills in a collaborative project.

Phase 2: Calibration (Specialisations)

Purpose: Gaining fundamental knowledge and skills in AI and sustainability

In the Calibration Phase, learners complete a Core Curriculum of required Impact Certificates (ICs) and select three elective ICs to tailor their education to their interests and career goals.

Core ICs (for All Learners starting from March 2025):

  1. Data Science Fundamentals – Learn core concepts of data science and its applications.
  2. Applied Machine Learning – Develop practical machine learning skills for AI applications.
  3. Advanced Machine Learning – Explore deep learning, neural networks, and AI-driven solutions.

Elective ICs (Pick Three):

  • Data Mastery for Everyone – Enhance data analytics and visualization skills.
  • AI for Everyone – Understand AI fundamentals and ethical considerations.
  • Prototyping Impactful Solutions – Learn how to develop and iterate product solutions.
  • Foundations of Climate Sciences – Study environmental challenges and sustainable solutions.
  • Improve the Global Impact of Your Organization – Apply technology for organizational change.
  • Become a Responsible Leader – Develop leadership skills for responsible innovation.
  • Clean Energy & Green Tech – Explore applications in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
  • Planet-Centric Innovation – Design solutions with a focus on environmental impact.
  • Build Your Foundations for Growth – Learn about business and growth strategies.

Phase 3: Elevation

Purpose: Applying AI and sustainability knowledge to real-world challenges

During the Elevation Phase, learners further refine their skills by working on advanced challenges and interdisciplinary projects.

Elevation Challenges:

  1. Data Science Solutions – Required for learners who have taken Data Science-related ICs.
  2. Elective Challenge of Choice – Select a challenge that aligns with career goals and interests.
  3. Elective Challenge of Choice – A second opportunity to tailor learning through challenge selection.

Phase 4: Activation

Purpose: Implementing AI and sustainability solutions in a professional setting

The Activation Phase is the final stage of the program, where learners apply everything they’ve learned to a real-world project, thesis, or entrepreneurial venture. Whether conducting research, developing a startup, or implementing AI solutions in an organization, this phase ensures real-world impact.

What to Expect:

  • Define and execute a Bachelor’s thesis or final project under expert supervision.
  • Collaborate with industry partners, mentors, and stakeholders to drive change.
  • Present final work to academic and industry panels.
