How to choose a program in your MSc degree

At Tomorrow University, we empower learners to address complex challenges at the intersection of sustainability, innovation, and technology. During your Calibration Phase, you will deepen your expertise by completing Impact Certificates (ICs) aligned with your chosen program.

These programs apply to all learners starting the MSc in Sustainability, Innovation & Technology from March 2026 onwards. If you are looking for the Specialization Tracks for cohorts that started until and including December 2025, please check this Handbook page.


Your Options within the MSc Degree

Within your degree, the MSc in Sustainability, Innovation & Technology, you have the following options:

Option  1️⃣ 

Follow one of the five set Programs below. Each one focuses on a specific area and includes a defined set of ICs in the Calibration Phase.


📜 Your official degree title on your diploma is "MSc in Sustainability, Innovation, and Technology with specialization in [Name of Program]”.


📝 Your transcript of records will list your completed challenges and chosen Impact Certificates.

 Option 2️⃣

Create a customised learning journey in the Calibration Phase by picking and choosing whichever Impact Certificate(s) you wish from across all Programs.


📜 Your official degree title on your diploma is simply “MSc in Sustainability, Innovation, and Technology”.


📝 Your transcript of records will list your completed challenges and chosen Impact Certificates.

Whichever option you choose, you will select your Impact Certificates at the end of the Orientation Phase.


Orientation remains the same for everyone. However, there are some challenges which provide useful fundamental skills for specific program specializations:

⚠️ Important:
Recommended challenges are not mandatory for your program specialization. You are free to choose the challenges that best align with your personal and professional goals, then decide on your program specialization in the calibration phase.

 

The Five Set MSc Programs

Below you will find the five available programs for learners starting the MSc from 2026 onwards.

🚀 Responsible Entrepreneurship & Product Development

This program focuses on building responsible ventures, developing innovative products, and scaling impact-driven solutions.

1️⃣ Orientation Phase (see above)

2️⃣ Calibration Phase

During the Calibration Phase, you will complete Impact Certificates from the following selection depending on degree version:

  • MSc 90 ECTS version: Choose one IC (15 ECTS) from the pre-selection below and any other IC (15 ECTs).

  • MSc 120 ECTS version: Choose two ICs (30 ECTS) from the pre-selection below plus any other two ICs (30 ECTS)

  1. Prototyping Impactful Solutions

  2. Product-Led Growth

  3. Think & Act as an Entrepreneur

3️⃣ Elevation and 4️⃣ Activation

After Calibration, learners continue with the final phases of the degree.

- Elevation (20 ECTS) focuses on applying your knowledge to interdisciplinary challenges.

- Activation (25 ECTS) is the final phase of the degree and includes your Master’s thesis or final project, where you apply your learning to a real-world problem or research question.


🦾 AI & New Technologies

This program explores how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital transformation can be used responsibly to address societal and business challenges.

2️⃣ Calibration Phase

During the Calibration Phase, you will complete Impact Certificates from the following selection depending on degree version:

  • MSc 90 ECTS version: Choose one IC (15 ECTS) from the pre-selection below and any other IC (15 ECTs).

  • MSc 120 ECTS version: Choose two ICs (30 ECTS) from the pre-selection below plus any other two ICs (30 ECTS) 

  1. AI for Everyone

  2. New Technologies

  3. Digital Transformation

3️⃣ Elevation and 4️⃣ Activation

After Calibration, learners continue with the final phases of the degree.

- Elevation (20 ECTS) focuses on applying your knowledge to interdisciplinary challenges.

- Activation (25 ECTS) is the final phase of the degree and includes your Master’s thesis or final project, where you apply your learning to a real-world problem or research question.


🔢 Data Science & Machine Learning

This program focuses on building analytical and technical skills for applying data science and machine learning to real-world problems.

2️⃣ Calibration Phase

During the Calibration Phase, you will complete Impact Certificates from the following selection depending on degree version:

  • MSc 90 ECTS version: Choose one IC (15 ECTS) from the pre-selection below and any other IC (15 ECTs).

  • MSc 120 ECTS version: Choose two ICs (30 ECTS) from the pre-selection below plus any other two ICs (30 ECTS)

  2. Applied Machine Learning

  3. Advanced Machine Learning

  4. Data Mastery for Everyone

After Calibration, learners continue with the final phases of the degree.

- Elevation (20 ECTS) focuses on applying your knowledge to interdisciplinary challenges.

- Activation (25 ECTS) is the final phase of the degree and includes your Master’s thesis or final project, where you apply your learning to a real-world problem or research question.


🌳 Sustainability Science & Climate Solutions

This program focuses on understanding climate systems and developing solutions that support environmental sustainability and planetary health.

2️⃣ Calibration Phase

During the Calibration Phase, you will complete Impact Certificates from the following selection depending on degree version:

  • MSc 90 ECTS version: Choose one IC (15 ECTS) from the pre-selection below and any other IC (15 ECTs).

  1. Foundations of Climate Science

  2. Clean Energy & Green Tech

  3. Planet-Centric Innovation

After Calibration, learners continue with the final phases of the degree.

- Elevation (20 ECTS) focuses on applying your knowledge to interdisciplinary challenges.

- Activation (25 ECTS) is the final phase of the degree and includes your Master’s thesis or final project, where you apply your learning to a real-world problem or research question.


♻️ Sustainable Systems & Innovation

This program explores how organizations and systems can transition toward sustainable operations, innovation, and long-term impact.

2️⃣ Calibration Phase

During the Calibration Phase, you will complete Impact Certificates from the following selection depending on degree version:

  • MSc 90 ECTS version: Choose one IC (15 ECTS) from the pre-selection below and any other IC (15 ECTs).

  • MSc 120 ECTS version: Choose two ICs (30 ECTS) from the pre-selection below plus any other two ICs (30 ECTS) 

  1. Improve the Global Impact of Your Organization

  2. Climate Accounting & Reporting

  3. Innovation Strategies for Business Transformation
