# Are the milestone deadlines set in stone?

## Learn how to navigate the milestone deadlines in your challenge.

Generally speaking, milestone deadlines are strong recommendations rather than hard deadlines. It is optimal for your learning experience for you to complete all the milestones scheduled before a live session before the live session takes place.

You will not be prevented from continuing your learning and submitting your work if you pass the milestone deadlines. However, adhering as closely as possible to the milestone deadlines will ensure that you stay on track and complete your studies within the timeline of your program.
