I am a prospective MBA learner and have been asked to show 30 ECTS from my professional experience. Why is that?
According to German higher education law, 300 ECTS overall are needed to graduate with a master’s degree. Most people graduate with a 180 ECTS bachelor’s degree. With our 90 ECTS Impact MBA you students will have 270 ECTS which means 30 ECTS are missing. ToU offers its applicants to make up the remaining 30 ECTS by getting recognition for competencies acquired outside of higher education through professional experience. We can recognize a minimum of one year of professional experience in ECTS that is broadly related to the field of business administration. This year of experience needs to be in addition to the two years of professional experience required for admission. Any other professional qualifications such as training, certifications or vocational training can be used to credit the additional 30 ECTS, too.
